* like / love / hate it when + situation
- 어떠한 상황을 좋아하다/싫어하다
e.g. I hate it when I am late.

* a clap of thunder
- thunder 는 uncountable임

* it's raining cats and dogs = pouring

*downpour vs pouring
- downpour : a lot of rain in a short time
- shower는 좀 약한 느낌
- pour는 '양'에 초점?

*wait something out
- to wait and do nothing until something happens or ends.
e.g. I'd rather wait out the storm than drive home immediately.
e.g. I'll wait out the downpour.


* binge [verb]
= to do something in a way that is extreme and not controlled.
- binge + on + something
